Jungle Pals

I have always been a fan of Disney movies, especially those that feature animals or are centered around them. The Lion King, The Jungle Book, Tarzan, and The Princess and the Frog are among my favorites! I had thought about the fun sidekick characters featured in those movies (Louis, Baloo, Tantor, Terk, Timon, and Pumbaa), and how each of them brings a comedic energy to most situations. Then I thought about how fun it would be for them to get together, start singing, dancing, and overall have a great time hanging out. It's something we'll probably never see in an official Disney movie, but I thought it would be a neat idea to conceptualize!

Each character was sketched by hand and later colored and outlined digitally in Procreate. Louis, Baloo, Timon, and Pumbaa were all drawn together, while Terk and Tantor were drawn separately. I digitally edited the sketches to place Terk between Baloo, Timon and Pumbaa. The background was based on backgrounds in the Tarzan movie, and was done entirely digitally as well.
